Role Summary
The role holder will manage social media, websites of the organisation and other digital innovations and provide technical support in managing manage stakeholder relationships and delivering PR work.
Skills & Competency Requirements
- Knowledge of different distribution channels and how to effectively utilise them to reachrelevant internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to write in a way that is not academic or technical but still interesting and appealing to various internal and external stakeholders
Experience
- A minimum of 4 years progressive / relevant experience
Educational Qualification
- A Master’s Degree in Communications Studies, or related field from a recognized university
- Accredited Public Relations Practitioner / a related professional qualification
Key Accountabilities
- Partner core functions of the company to roll out communication initiatives that project the prospect of the organisation.
- Develop and conceptualize communications materials, including press releases, blog posts and social media content which makes the organisation social media friendly.
- Develop a communication guidance for staff to regulate media engagements as well as issues of copyrights, data privacy among others
- Engage, align and energise employees to become willing ambassadors for the organisation
- Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns
- Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos of all departments
- Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise
- Update the organisation’s website with relevant information.
- Prepare and submit reports on education /sensitization activities by the Unit
- Undertake any other works that may be assigned
