Tragedy struck today as a vehicle in the convoy of Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was involved in a fatal accident. The incident occurred at Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving several others seriously injured1.
Collision with a Kia Rhino Truck
Reports indicate that a KIA Rhino truck veered onto the path of the speeding presidential convoy, leading to a collision. The impact claimed the life of an individual and caused significant injuries to others. President Akufo-Addo was not present in the convoy at the time of the accident.
Casualties and Injuries
The deceased individual has been identified as a driver at the Jubilee House. Additionally, two Military Officers attached to the Presidency were injured and have been flown to Accra for further medical treatment.
