The Eko Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria hosted the 9th annual African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) on Saturday, May 20, 2023. The esteemed occasion recognized notable actors from the African cinema industry.
The Industry Merit Award was given to veteran actress Patience Ozokwor in honor of her outstanding contributions to the field. Many categories were won by notable movies including Kunle Afolayan’s “Anikulapo” and “Brotherhood” by Jade Osiberu.
