India has seen the release of the Infinix Smart 8. In November 2023, the phone made its debut in Nigeria. The Nigerian and Indian versions are identical in terms of features and specifications. It comes with an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery. The phone has a 50-megapixel dual rear camera unit and boots up an Android 13 Go Edition UI right out of the box. Additionally, the Magic Ring feature is included. There is only one storage choice and four color options for the phone in the nation.

Availability and cost of the Infinix Smart 8 in India
The Infinix Smart 8 costs Rs. 7,499 in India and comes with a single RAM and storage option of 4GB + 64GB. It will be available for purchase at a special launch price of Rs. 6,749 starting January 15 on Flipkart. Four color options are available for the phone: Galaxy White, Rainbow Blue, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black.

Features & characteristics of the Infinix Smart 8
The 6.6-inch HD+ (1,612 x 720 pixels) IPS display on the Infinix Smart 8 has a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz, a maximum brightness of 500 nits, and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. A 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 CPU, 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage power the device. Up to 8GB of RAM can be practically added, and up to 2TB of storage can be added using a microSD card. Shipped with XOS 13, which is based on Android 13 Go Edition.

The Infinix Smart 8’s optics include a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor, a quad-LED Ring flash, and an unidentified AI-backed lens. The 8-megapixel sensor on the front camera is paired with an LED flash unit. The phone also comes with Magic Ring, a feature that displays notifications, warnings, battery life, and other information to users and is akin to Apple’s Dynamic Island. The front camera cutout is surrounded by the Magic Ring.

The Smart 8 from Infinix sports a 5,000mAh battery. Dual 4G, nano SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C connections are all provided by the device. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. It is 163.6 x 75.6 x 8.5 mm in dimension and weighs 189g.
