As a reaction to the increasing frequency of violence in schools, the Ghana Education Service introduced the Safe Schools Programme in 2018.
The safe school’s initiative aims to eradicate all forms of violence from the nation’s schools, including bullying, sexual harassment, and physical punishment.
The GES wants to encourage school staff to uphold the principles of safe schools in order to strengthen and advance a culture of respect for human rights and dignity.
